The Subpatch Signal Input Node creates an audio/control signal input on a Subpatch Node (or custom Node) or Poly Subpatch Node, when placed inside one of these Node types.
It simply takes the signal connected to one of those created inputs, and passes it through to its own output unchanged. It doesn’t do anything else. The only use for this Node is to create subpatch inputs.
Inputs
The Subpatch Signal Input Node does not have an input port on its own. However, it creates an input port on the parent Subpatch Node or Poly Subpatch Node.
Settings
Theme
Sets the signal appearance theme (audio or control). This is a visual setting, has no effect on the actual signal.
Order
Sets the input’s appearance order on the parent Subpatch Node or Poly Subpatch Node. Lower values come first. This is a visual setting, and has no effect on the actual signal, or actual connection order for already connected inputs. It only sets the visual appearance order on the parent Node.
Outputs
Signal from subpatch input
The same signal that’s connected to the respective subpatch input, forwarded as-is. Has the same channel count, and supports constant folding.
Because both the Subpatch Signal Input Node and the Subpatch Signal Output Node support constant folding, it’s possible to create subpatches that themselves also support constant folding.
